Off to a flying start…
The Carton Conference 2012 has got off to a flying start with enthusiastic support from the same key companies who were ‘Gold’ supporters at the event in 2008.This reflects the unequivocal endorsement of the last conference and the exciting programme scheduled for 2012’s event.
Craig Moran at the Bobst Group had no hesitation in putting support for the Carton Conference at the top of his promotions budget for the UK in 2012. “The opportunity to combine projecting business development features to packaging specifiers whilst at the same event networking with all our converting friends in the UK made being a Gold Partner for 2012 an easy decision.”
KBA’s Christian Knapp was also quick to recognise the opportunity, “We have been delighted with our sales to the carton industry in 2011 so this conference is the ideal chance to show new potential customers how our technology can benefit them.”
This theme was reflected at Heidelberg where Gary Wilkinson was quick to protect a slice of his budget for the conference despite other promotional pressures including the DRUPA exhibition, “The combination with Easyfairs Packaging Innovations will give us a unique opportunity not only to display the benefits of investing in our equipment but also provide access to a wide variety of visitors.”
First off the mark from the ink industry, Barry Ferne of Sun Chemical also recognised how valuable it would be to engage simultaneously with packaging specifiers and converters, “Our technology offers huge opportunities for carton development but all parties need to understand the factors which impact on colour from concept through to consumer by considering these in initial designs.”
